Motel Amenities

  • All rooms have been completely refurbished and the motel reopened in April of 2018.
  • Each room offers Direct TV, flat-screen televisions, a mini-fridge, microwave, coffee pot, new tankless water heaters where you will always get a hot shower, LED lighting, touch keypad locks, and comfortable beds.
  • WiFi is available in the motel and Sharky's Bar & Grill the on-site restaurant.
  • Beach access is available through our gates at the Southeast side of our park or you can walk through the entrance of the public boat ramp located at the end of our pull-thru beach spaces. On the Northside of the property, you can walk to the beach where there is a walking path to the left side of the ferry office. The beach is amazing with quartz sand that won't burn your feet, shallow waters, no riptide, spectacular views, and perfect for the kids and pets to swim virtually any time. Oh, and at any given time, you may have the Outer Banks Wild Spanish Horses or some free-range cattle come pay you a visit!
  • Sharky's Bar and Grill offers delicious, fresh local seafood and a full bar for your dining pleasure steps from your campsite or motel room.
  • Boating access is available from either our private boat ramp which launches into Cedar Island Bay or through the NC State boat ramp which launches into Pamlico Sound. Both ramps can get you to deep water access and the Atlantic Ocean.
  • Rent canoes and kayaks on site from the rental office and spend an amazing day paddling through Cedar Island Bay on your own private eco-tour where you can search for the Outer Banks Wild Spanish Horses. Book online now!
  • Fishing is available on the property as well as all around us. Our most common catches are Speckled Trout, Flounder, Red Drum, Mackerel, Blue Fish, and Mullet. Charters are available in the area at great rates through local guides or you can find a great spot onshore or wade into the sound to catch dinner. An NC fishing license is required unless you are fishing with a charter guide.
  • Crabbing, clamming, and casting a net to catch local shrimp can be a fun way to spend your day and is a popular event.
  • Horseback riding on the beach is offered at our Outer Banks Riding Stables. Book online now, call 252-515-0201 or stop in the Visitor Center for more information!
