White egret, gray heron, seagulls, pelicans, Canadian Geese, and several species of ducks dot our shorelines and marsh. You are almost guaranteed to see jumping fish and occasionally a family of river otters on your journey. If you are lucky, you may catch views of the wild Spanish horses or even the wild cattle that roam freely throughout Cedar Island and Hog Island. To reserve a canoe or kayak stop by our Visitor Center or call 252-515-0201. For the 2022 season we will be offering canoes or kayaks to our resort guests for only $20.00/day.
